Fluorspar
Fluorspar, or fluorite, is a mineral rich in calcium fluoride (CaF₂) and is a critical raw material in the manufacture of hydrofluoric acid, aluminum, and steel.
Its versatility extends to the production of ceramics, glass, enamels, and as a flux in metallurgical processes. Acid-grade fluorspar is particularly important in the chemical industry, while metallurgical-grade is used in steelmaking.
